WHAT IT IS ABOUT:
The terms Smart Factory and Industry 4.0 have dominated the media for years. But what does it mean? A smart factory offers approaches to achieve cost savings through transparency and automation. With more radical greenfield approaches, completely new value creation concepts are possible. The various industries differ significantly in terms of objectives, freedom of design and the necessary requirements. While the focus in the automotive sector is on worldwide, cost-effective and customer-synchronized production, in mechanical engineering it is the digital twin and the reduction of lead times.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
In this webinar we look at the core of the smart factory approach and explain how complexity costs can be avoided through transparency, monitoring and automation. We show you typical brownfield approaches that create a new type of transparency on the basis of real-time data and thus
in turn are the basis of new management processes. For mechanical engineering, we will show you typical applications to significantly shorten the order
settlement process. A look at the visions and implementations of pioneers in the industry rounds off the smart factory overview.

WHAT IT IS ABOUT:
Digitalization. A megatrend that no company can ignore! At the same time, however, its nature is not immediately apparent to many corporate executives. Opportunities and challenges often remain diffuse, yet. Buzzwords dominate communication. Specific first steps do not seem to be worthwhile. The classical characteristics of the value added "turnover, cost structure, flexibility" are too dominant and long established practices to achieve company goals are too deeply embedded in the culture. Digitalization is revolutionizing the value added to entire industries, changing the way companies work together, creating new sales channels, and opening great efficiency potentials throughout the company. Pioneers are already achieving considerable success.
Get an insight into our seminar "Practical Digital Strategies for the Industry" in the free info webinar on the seminar.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:
Lectures and interactive workshop elements will show practice-oriented approaches to transfer the abstract topic of "digitization" into your own value creation system. How does a Smart Factory work to produce faster, more flexibly and more cost-effectively? What possibilities does digitization create to redesign the interface to my customers and to make the innovation process more effective? And how can sales be increased through intelligent products and new business models? Get answers! Selected BestPractice examples illustrate possible starting points and the necessary prerequisites to pave the way for your own digital strategy.

Change Management
MAINTAIN SUSTAINABLE CORPORATE CHANGEWHAT IT IS ABOUT:
Successful implementation of changes is absolutely critical in the current times of great upheaval. Simply communicating the need for change is no longer sufficient, as concentration processes, cost pressure, as well as pressure to grow and innovate as a result of the disruptive rise of technology are generating unbelievable dynamics. This requires a very rapid change of mindset as well as targeted interventions in organizations, value added chains and culture. Controlling a process of this kind is one of the most difficult management tasks to undertake. Moving away from carrot and stick methods and focusing more on getting everyone enthusiastic about common objectives. Systematic change management targets a discernible increase in implementation success.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:
We provide you with the necessary knowledge and tools so that you can independently plan and implement targeted changes. You will learn about useful analytical instruments that can help you integrate implementation aspects early on and are sensitized to the kind of management behavior that is guaranteed to lead to success during change processes. Learn how changes can be successfully communicated and how to sustainably anchor change in the minds of your employees – despite resistance.

High Performance Organisation - World Class Company
PERFORMANCE-ORIENTED CORPORATE GOVERNANCE AND HOLISTIC ORGANIZATION MANAGEMENTWHAT IT IS ABOUT:
Intense competitive situations are what often lead to performance-oriented corpo- rate management. The main focus of the "world-class company" approach is on a systematic concept for optimizing both the performance and results of a company or business. The objective is to discuss and then test concrete courses of action and measures to orient the business towards "world-class level". This not only revolves around identifying the right methods and instruments for redesigning processes in striving for internal expertise. Indeed, the role of management in promoting human potential is also a key factor here.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:
Numerous comparisons between successful companies demonstrate which concepts and approaches have proven successful at leading companies. You will learn how quality management is introduced and further refined, as well as how innovation potential is consistently developed to boost the time-based competitiveness of product development operations. You will also have the opportunity to reflect on the obstacles to be overcome in order to bring out the full performance potential and which hurdles need to be cleared on the road to establishing a new kind of organization.

MES - Central Infrastructure Element of the Smart Factory
FUNCTIONALITIES, BUSINESS RELEVANCE AND VENDOR SELECTIONDr. Jochen Schlick explains the content of the seminar

WHAT IT IS ABOUT:
A Manufacturing Execution System (MES) is a fundamental component of a Smart Factory and often simplifies its implementation considerably. It lowers the system complexity, brings order to the mostly historically grown data and is easier to administrate than a collection of individual software or even Excel tables with macros. However, the specification of the requirements for an MES and the selection of providers are often a major challenge, as it is usually located in the "no man's land" between IT, operations and industrial engineering and the relevance for the company result is unclear.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
In this one-day seminar, you will learn what the typical functions of an MES are and how they can be used to easily implement central applications of a smart factory. Learn how to set up a structured selection process for MES providers and what steps are necessary to be able to compare the offers of the different manufacturers and to create transparency. Find out how you can justify the investment in IT operating costs and process optimization with the Smart Factory Use Cases.
